Delta-8 THCV extracted from hemp, which should not be confused with the more prevalent Delta-9 THC present in cannabis, is a milder form of the drug that is permitted to buy in the majority of states. The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 declared all isomers, derivatives, and cannabinoids found in hemp federally legal as long as they have a Delta-9 THC content of less than 0.3% thus it is not subject to regulation, or control, under the Federal Controlled Substances Act.
